1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Campus Junction ("the Platform"), a product developed and operated by StackOrbit Labs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Platform on behalf of an educational institution, you represent that you have the authority to bind that institution to these Terms.
2. Description of Service
Campus Junction is a comprehensive student management system that provides:
- NFC-based real-time attendance tracking
- Digital leave and On-Duty (OD) request management
- GPS geo-fenced location verification for OD approvals
- Fee payment tracking and reminders
- Exam timetable and result management
- Real-time parent notifications
- Mobile applications (Android) and web portal access
- Excel/PDF report exports
3. User Accounts and Responsibilities
3.1 Account Creation
User accounts are created by the subscribing educational institution. Users must use credentials provided by their institution and maintain the confidentiality of their login information.
3.2 User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Keep login credentials secure and confidential
- Use the Platform only for authorized educational purposes
- Report any unauthorized access or security breaches
- Comply with institutional policies and guidelines
3.3 Prohibited Activities
Users must not:
- Share login credentials with unauthorized individuals
- Attempt to manipulate attendance or academic records
- Use GPS spoofing or location falsification tools
- Interfere with the Platform's security or functionality
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
4. Institutional Subscriber Terms
4.1 Subscription
Educational institutions subscribe to Campus Junction under separate licensing agreements. Subscription terms, pricing, and payment schedules are defined in the institutional agreement.
4.2 Data Ownership
All student, faculty, and institutional data uploaded to the Platform remains the property of the subscribing institution. StackOrbit Labs acts as a data processor on behalf of the institution.
4.3 Administrator Responsibilities
- Manage user accounts and access permissions
- Ensure compliance with applicable data protection regulations
- Obtain necessary consents from students, parents, and faculty
- Train users on proper Platform usage
5. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its design, features, code, and documentation, is the intellectual property of StackOrbit Labs. Users and institutions are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Platform as per their subscription terms. No rights to the Platform's intellectual property are transferred.
6. Service Availability and Support
6.1 Uptime
We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance. We are not liable for downtime caused by factors beyond our control.
6.2 Support
Technical support is provided to institutional administrators via email and phone during business hours. Support response times and scope are defined in the institutional agreement.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- StackOrbit Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by the institution in the 12 months prior to the claim
- We are not responsible for decisions made by institutions based on Platform data
8. Indemnification
Users and subscribing institutions agree to indemnify and hold harmless StackOrbit Labs from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from: (a) violation of these Terms, (b) misuse of the Platform, (c) violation of applicable laws or third-party rights.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform for violation of these Terms. Institutional subscriptions may be terminated as per the terms of the institutional agreement. Upon termination, institutions may request export of their data within 30 days.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. For institutional subscribers, dispute resolution may be subject to arbitration as per the institutional agreement.
11. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to institutional administrators. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
